GREENVILLE, NC – The Presbyterian College women’s golf team finished 8th at the Pirate Collegiate Classic at the Greenville Country Club on Tuesday with a team score of 923 (307, 306, 310). Celia Mansour shot 222 (74, 73, 75) to tie for 13th in a field of 17 teams.

Maiken Bing Paulsen (t34th) shot 230 (80, 72, 78) and had a team-high 10 birdies on the par-72, 6,105-yard course. Ann Elizabeth Gore (40th) finished a couple of strokes back at 232 (73, 79, 80). Serina Combs (69th) shot 239 (80, 82, 77) and led the team with 31 pars in her first collegiate tournament. Rylie Marchman (88th) shot 271 (94, 86, 91).

East Carolina won the tournament with a scoring record of 1-over 865. The Pirate's Dorthea Forbrigd won individual medalist honors defeating teammate Kate Law in a playoff on hole No. 1 after both shot 215.

The team will next play at the 2017 Pinehurst Challenge from October 9-10 at Pinehurst #1.
