Jacksonville dropped set one but rallied with three straight to take the 3-1 win over the Presbyterian College volleyball team in action at the Dolphin Invitational being held Sept. 15-16, in Jacksonville, Fla. PC won the first set 25-18, before JU took the next three, 25-15, 25-19, and 25-8.

Scoring the Match
PC jumped out ahead 8-2 in the first set before JU rallied to within three at 9-6. Leading by just one at 13-12, PC went on a 9-1 run, highlighted by three kills from Erin Eulitz, to extend the lead to 22-13. JU cut the lead to five, 23-18, but it was PC with the kill by Sydney De Jong and service ace by Gosnell to take the 25-18 win.

JU started strong in set two, building a 12-3 lead and extending it to 17-9. A 6-1 run by PC cut it to three, 18-15, but that would be it as the Dolphins ended the set with seven straight to earn the 25-15 victory.

A close third set, PC cut a three-point deficit to one, 19-18, off back to back Eulitz kills. JU came back with the next six of seven points to pull away late and take the 25-19 win.

Jacksonville opened the fourth set with 12 unanswered before an Allie Wright kill ended the drought. Points were difficult to come by most of the set with the Dolphins extending the margin to 21-3. PC tacked on five more points but were unable to get close, dropping the final set and match, 25-8.

Player of the Match
Erin Eulitz led the team with 10 kills, with Ashton Stewart tops in attack percentage with .357. Defensively the Blue Hose were led by Daley Gosnell with 19 digs. Mallory Mattingly paced Jacksonville with 20 kills and a .362 attack percentage.

Stat of the Match
The Dolphins controlled the kills, 57-36, and attack percentage, .299-.065. Jacksonville finished with 54 assists and 85 digs, with PC posting 32 and 55, respectively.

Caroline Henderson recorded a career-high 15 digs, as well as a career-best two assists
Sierra Jones posted a career-best two service aces
Megan Jones' three service aces tied for 15th in the PC Division I record book, the team's seven ranking tied for ninth

For the Record
PC drops to 3-7, while Jacksonville improves to 5-5.
