Hope Rogers’ grand slam in the second inning, and Alex Cook’s four-inning shutout, lifted the Presbyterian College softball team to the 6-3 win over Campbell in the final game of the three-game series Sunday morning at the PC Softball Complex in Clinton, S.C.

Scoring the Game
After Amber Schisler opened the first inning with a solo home run to put the Camels up 1-0, the Blue Hose came back in the bottom of the frame with two walks and a fielder’s choice to put runners on second and third. A Campbell error plated Jonnie Petree to tie the game, 1-1.

Presley Bissett led off the bottom of the fifth with a walk, with Courtney White following it up with a single. Rebekka Gross loaded the bases with a single, with Petree keeping the bases loaded on a fielder’s choice after the out was made at home. PC went up 2-1 off a Blaire Miller RBI walk, with Hope Rogers stepping up to the plate. She hit her third home run of the season, a grand slam that cleared the bases and put the Blue Hose up 6-1.

Campbell fought back in the top of the fourth off a Bailey Bjorson two-RBI double down the left field line. Alex Cook came in and shut down the Camels the rest of the game, to help the Blue Hose to the 6-3 win.
