Campbell scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning to rally from a 4-2 deficit and take the 8-4 win over the Presbyterian College softball team in the opening game of a Big South doubleheader Saturday afternoon in Clinton, S.C. The Camels broke a 1-1 tie with five runs in the final three innings to take game two, 6-1.

Due to rain in the forecast Game three will start at 11 am., on Sunday.

Scoring Game One
Kelsie Sanchez put PC on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a RBI single to center. Campbell responded with a run in the top of the second after Katie Baker doubled in Melissa Tullar, who was on base off a lead-off single.

The Blue Hose spotted two runs in the bottom of the second with RBI doubles from Courtney White and Jonnie Petree, with the Camels making it a 3-2 game in the top of the third with a Schisler RBI single.

PC scored its final run of the game in the bottom of the fourth of a RBI single from Blaire Miller, with the Blue Hose taking the 4-2 lead.

The Campbell rally began in the top of the sixth with a Jessica Anderson two-RBI double up the middle to tie the game at 4-4. Abby Perryman and Madison Casto followed it up with two RBI singles to jump Campbell out to the 6-4 lead. Madison Herring added a RBI fielder's choice to make it 7-4.

Carolina Smith's RBI double in the seventh would give Campbell its final 8-4 score.

Scoring Game Two
Anderson put the Camels on the board in the top of the first with a based loaded walk, with PC tying the game in the bottom of the frame with a bases loaded hit by pitch to Madison Longanecker.

Fast forward to the top of the fifth inning, Bailey Bjorson added a two-RBI double, with Madison Herring collecting a RB sacrifice bunt to propel the Camels to the 4-1 lead.

A two-RBI double by Christa Hall in the top of the seven gave the Camels the final 6-1 score.

Game One Team Totals
PC collected four runs off nine hits, with no errors, while stranding eight runners. Campbell finished with 12 hits, eight runs, two errors, and six left on base.

Game Two Team Totals
PC finished the game with one run off three hits, while stranding four runners. Campbell stranded 11 runners, while plating six off nine hits.

Players of Game One
Leading PC on offense was Jonnie Petree with two hits and one RBI. Hope Rogers recorded two hits as well, with Blaire Miller, Kelsie Sanchez, and Courtney White each posting a hit and RBI.

Alex Cook (2-6) took the loss, going 5.2 innings and giving up six earned runs, while striking out seven.

Anderson led Campbell with two hits and two RBI, with Tullar and Perryman each recording two hits as well.

Baker (8-6) went 5.0 innings and surrendered four earned runs off eight hits. Amber Schisler picked up her first save of the season, going 2.0 innings and giving up one hit and no runs.

Players of Game Two
Three separate Blue Hose collected hits with Blaire Miller, Megan Anderson, and Madison Longanecker each getting one. Longanecker had one RBI.

Katie Brown (5-9) took the loss for PC, going 6.0 innings and surrendering six earned runs off eight hits, with five strikeouts.

Bjorson led Campbell with two hits and two RBI.

Megan Richardson (2-1) pitched a complete game, strikong out two, while giving up one run off three hits.
