CHATTANOOGA, TN – The Presbyterian College men’s cross country team finished fourth at the Front Runner Invitational on Saturday afternoon with an average 8k time of 29:22.

Preston Meade (18th) led the Blue Hose on the Camp Jordan Park course in a time of 27:13. In what was a fast but small race, PC saw its next three runners finish in order with Duncan Gotfredson (24th) running 28:33, Reid Haigler (25th) running 29:42 and Chris Sacco (26th) 30:00. Alex Johnson (31st) ran 31:21 and Jake Birdsong (32nd) ran 32:31.

Middle Tennessee State won the race with a perfect score of 15 points with its top-4 crossing the line together at 25:04. Chattanooga (55 points) was second, Winthrop (76) third and PC (110) fourth.

The Blue Hose will next race at the Big South Cross Country Championships on Friday, October 28, in Asheville, NC.
