Campbell hit .314 and recorded 49 kills in a 3-0 win over the Presbyterian College volleyball team, in Big South action Saturday morning in Buies Creek, N.C. The Camels won by scores of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-15.

How it Happened
The Blue Hose stormed out to a 6-1 lead in the first set, holding their lead for the majority, including a 13-9 margin off a kill from Sierra Davis and a block assist from Davis and Samantha Del Toro. Trailing 12-15, Campbell clawed its way back with a 4-1 run to tie it up at 16-16. The Camels outscored PC 4-1 again to build a 20-17 lead

The Blue Hose cut the margin to 20-21, but it was Campbell with the next three points to make it 24-20. A Davis kill and a Del Toro ace cut the lead to two but a Jenny Tait kill ended the rally to give Campbell the 25-22 win.

Another tightly contested second set early, the Blue Hose and Camels found themselves tied at 16-16. Campbell used a 4-1 run to take the 21-17 lead, before PC took the next two points to make it 21-19. That would be it as the Camels rattled off the next four straight to win it 25-19.

Campbell built a 10-5 lead early in the third set, building it to a 19-11 margin. PC cut the margin to seven at 20-13, but the Camels scored the set’s next five of seven points to take the 25-15 third set and match win.

Players of the Matches
Samantha Del Toro and Sierra Davis led the offence with eight kills apiece, with Del Toro leading in hitting percentage with .368. Sara Rogers was tops in assists with 24, while Mikayla Register led a team of three in double-digit digs with 18. Daley Gosnell had 11, while Megan Jones posted 14.

Loni Kreun led Campbell with 11 kills and 15 digs.

Stats of the Match
Campbell out-killed PC 49-30, and posted a .314 hitting percentage, compared to .117 for the Blue Hose.

PC drops to 3-15 overall and 1-3 in the league, while Campbell improves to 8-12, 3-3.
