• The Aggies enter play this week with a 9-30 record after a sweep at the hands of NC Central last weekend.
• Milton Rivera leads the team with a .391 batting average with seven home runs. Adan Ordonez leads with 31 RBIs.
Weyenberg Model of Consistency
• Tyler Weyenberg has hit safely in each of his last six games since going 0-for-4 against Winthrop on April 8, which ended his 23-game hitting streak.
• Over his last six games, he is hitting .429 (9-for-21) with six runs, a double and five walks to compiled a .556 on-base percentage. He has three multi-hit games and a run in four of the six games.
• The junior has recorded a hit in 32 of the 35 games this season with 17 multi-hit games, including a team-high three three-hit games.
• The 23-game hitting streak is the longest hitting streak by a PC player in the school's Division I era (since 2008). The previous long was 17 games by Jared Combs in 2009.
• During the streak, he batted .398 (37-for-93) with nine doubles, a homer, 23 runs, 13 RBIs and eight stolen bases. He raised his batting average from .273 to .374 on the season with the streak.
Jackson Continues to Drive In Runs
• Weston Jackson continues to lead the team in batting average (.379), doubles (18), home runs (7) and RBIs (39) on the year. He leads the Big South in slugging percentage (.674) as well, while coming in second in doubles and third in RBIs.
• Jackson has an RBI in five of his last six games and nine of his last 11.
• He just recorded his longest hitting streak of the year, a nine-game stretch, before going hitless on April 16. During the streak, he batted .561 (16-for-34) with nine runs, 15 RBIs, eight doubles, two home runs and seven walks.
• In Saturday's win at The Citadel on March 19, Jackson was 5-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, three runs and four RBIs. The five hits tied the PC Division I school record for hits in a game, while Jackson became just the seventh player in the D1 era (since 2008) to reach the mark. He finished just a triple shy of the cycle and tied career highs for runs and RBIs.
• Last season, Jackson batted .395 with 17 hits, two home runs, nine runs and 11 RBIs in 11 games, before suffering a season-ending injury.
Season Records Watch
• Weston Jackson has totaled 18 doubles on the season, which ranks second in a single season in PC's D1 history. Only Brad Zebedis has had more in a season, totaling 23 in 2011.
• Jackson has 39 RBIs on the year, which is currently tied for fifth in PC's D1 history. Brad Zebedis also holds the single-season record in this category with 57 in 2011.
• Jackson also sits second in batting average (.379), slugging percentage (.674) and on-base percentage (.462), trailing Zebedis' 2011 campain in each.
• Tyler Weyenberg and Cletis Avery each have 10 stolen bases to their credit to this point in this season. That is good for second most in a single season in the school's D1 era. Only Aaron Preston had more (13) in 2013. Weyenberg also had 10 stolen bases in 2015.
• Brett Auckland has drawn 27 walks on the year, which ranks tied for fifth in a single season in the D1 era. He needs just one to move in to a tie for second place, while the record sits at 34 set by Kenny Bryant in 2010.
Chock Performing Well in Conference Play
• Tanner Chock has compiled a 1-0 record and 2.81 ERA in four starts against conference opponents. The sophomore has allowed 10 runs (eight earned) on 17 hits with six walks against 20 strikeouts in 25.2 innings pitched. Batters are hitting just .185 against him.
• He tossed a complete game shutout at Gardner-Webb on March 25, allowing just two hits with no walks against seven strikeouts.
• He has recorded a quality start in each of his last two starts. Chock went 6.0 innings and allowed just one run on three hits in a 2-1 win over Winthrop. He then went 6.1 innings at Coastal Carolina on April 16, allowing two runs on four hits with a single walk against five strikeouts.
Players Rank in Big South and Nationally
• Weston Jackson ranks fourth nationally in doubles (18) and doubles per game (0.51). He also ranks 27th in slugging percentage (.674), 35th in total bases (89), 44th in RBIs (39) and 49th in RBIs per game (1.11).
• Jacob Midkiff ranks as the 59th toughest to strikeout, averaging just one strikeout per 13.7 at-bats. He is fifth in the Big South in doubles with 12.
• Hayden Deal has made 20 appearances this season for PC, tops in the Big South and 27th most nationally. Deal also has five saves, third most in the Big South.
• Brian Kehner holds a 5.11 strikeout-to-walk ratio, which is fourth-best in the Big South. His 1.04 WHIP also comes in sixth in the conference.
• Brett Auckland is fourth in the conference in walks per game (0.79), 64th nationally, and sixth in the Big South in total walks (27), 62nd nationally.
