LOUISVILLE, KY – Presbyterian College’s Sally Hart ran a 6k of 24:27 to lead the women’s cross country team to 32nd at the 2015 NCAA Southeast Regional Championship held at Panorama Farms on Friday.

Hart (Raleigh, NC) finished 186th overall on a very challenging course on a very windy day. In all, PC was led by two freshman and two sophomores as Ripley Fricano (Atlanta, Ga) ran 26:07, Bea DiBona (Charleston, SC) ran 26:13 and Hydia Green (Union, SC) ran 27:59. In her last collegiate race, senior Hayley McCoy (Chapin, SC) finished fifth for PC in a time of 28:21. Sarah Jennings (Lexington, SC) was close behind in 28:26.

As expected, Virginia won the team title with 53 points, and NC State claimed the other automatic bid to the NCAA Nationals in second place (74 points). The Big South’s Letitia Saayman (Coastal) and Ednah Kurgat (Liberty) won first and second with 6k times of 20:25 and 20:28 respectively and will also advance to Nationals.

The Blue Hose finished 32nd with a team score of 1020 and average time of 26:37. Longwood finished 33rd with 1022 points.

It was the final race of the year for both Presbyterian College cross country teams.
