LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team got topped 5-1 by Liberty Saturday at Osborne Stadium. Steven Huppe netted his first goal of the season for PC’s loan goal.

Tim Harbison scored his third goal of the season in the 13th minute with assists from Blessing Tahuona and Sachem Wilson. The Flames scored again in the first half in the 23rd minute off Wilsom’s sixth goal of the season. Conner Fleming and Jamie Foxwell provided the assists.

Tahuona found the back of the net in the 59th minute for his third goal of the year. Kyle Carr collected a PC turnover at midfield and lofted the ball over the heads of the Blue Hose defense that Tahuona gathered and beat the PC goalie.

Huppe (Maggie Valley, N.C.) scored for the Blue Hose in the 68th minute to bring the score to 3-1. Huppe gathered the Liberty turnover near the top of the 18-yard box and fired a shot that beat the Liberty keeper.

Brady Mazzei scored on a free kick in the 70th minute, while Kurt Meyers ended the scoring in the 81st minute off a pass from Mazzei.

The Blue Hose took nine shots, seven of which came in the second half. Jake Fuller (Simpsonville, S.C.) led PC with two shots and put both on goal, while Huppe took two shots with the goal on frame.

Johnny Archer (Charlotte, N.C.) generated nine saves for PC in goal.

Presbyterian wraps up the 2015 season 7 p.m. Wednesday at UNC Asheville.
