FARMVILLE, Va. – The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team got edged by Longwood 1-0 in double overtime Friday night at the Longwood Athletics Complex.
The Blue Hose fell to 0-11-1, 0-4-1 in the Big South Conference, while the Lancers went to 6-6-0, 1-3-0 on the season.
PC held Longwood scoreless until Dan Campos found the back of the net 1:18 into the second overtime period with a shot from about 40 yards out.
The Blue Hose took six shots on the night, but were unable to put any on frame. Stephen Huppe (Maggie Valley, N.C.) and Patrick Frentz (Louisville, Ky.) led by with two shots each.
Johnny Archer (Charlotte, N.C.) collected seven saves in the match.
Presbyterian returns to the pitch 3 p.m. Wednesday against Winthrop in Rock Hill, S.C.
