The Presbyterian College volleyball team rounded out the Clemson Classic with a 3-0 loss to East Tennessee State Saturday morning in Clemson, S.C. The Bucs took the sets by scores of 28-26, 25-13, and 25-20.

PC falls to 2-8 on the year, while ETSU moves to 5-4. The Blue Hose next travel to Wilmington, N.C., to take part in the Courtyard by Marriott Volleyball Classic Sept. 18-19. PC takes on host UNC Wilmington Friday at 7:30 p.m., before facing Stetson and Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday at 10 a.m., and 5 p.m., respectively..

The Blue Hose were led by Samantha Del Toro with nine kills and Rachel Elshoff with eight as the team finished with 30 total, and 21 errors for a .085 hitting percentage. Sara Rogers posted 24 assists, with Mikayla Register and Rogers adding 10 digs apiece. PC ended the match with four blocks and 106 total attacks.

ETSU recorded 42 kills, 15 errors and a .237 hitting percentage, to go along with seven total blocks. Rylee Milhorn paced the team with 13 kills, while Briana Allmon added 10.

Tied 14-14 in the first set, PC used back to back kills by Del Toro and another by Elshoff to build an 18-14 lead. It was short-lived as ETSU rallied back to a 19-19 tie. PC had set point at 24-23 off a block assist by Ashton Stewart and Sierra Davis, but a ETSU kill tied the match at 24-24. Tied again at 26-26, the Bucs posted two straight kills to take the 28-26 win away from the Blue Hose.

PC held a 10-7 lead in the second set, but n 11-0 run let ETSU take an 18-10 margin. The Blue Hose would only score three more points as the Bucs came away with the 25-13 win.

The Blue Hose and Bucs played a close third set with the two teams seeing seven ties, the last coming at 19-19. ETSU scored five unanswered to make it 24-19. An Elshoff kill made it 24-2, but Allmon finished the set and match with a kill to make it 25-20.
