The Big South released its Annual Baseball Awards and Brad Zebedis took home several honors after being named to the All-Conference second team and the All-Academic Team. He also earned Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, along with Coastal Carolina's Justin Creel. VMI's Rob Dickinson was named league Player-of-the-Year, while Ryan Thompson, from Campbell, was selected as Pitcher-of-the-Year. Chanticleer Seth Lamando was the 2013 Freshman-of-the-Year and Coach-of-the-Year honors went to Greg Goff of Campbell.
A 2013 CoSIDA Academic All-District first team honoree, Zebedis led the team in Big South multiple-RBI games (10), multiple-hit games (18), overall/Big South RBI and Big South slugging percentage. He started every game for the Blue Hose and finished second on the team with a .292 average at the plate. Zebedis totaled 62 hits, 12 doubles, four home runs and a triple on the year. He also notched 30 RBI and had an on-base percentage of .354.
In conference-only statistics, the political science major ranked in the top 15 in batting average, was tied for second in doubles, third in sacrifice flies, 12th in slugging percentage, 11th in average with runners on and sixth in putouts. The Rock Hill, S.C., native drove in multiple RBI in games against High Point, Winthrop (twice), Charleston Southern and Coastal Carolina. The junior ranked second on the team with four home runs and owned a .991 fielding percentage. He also boasted one of the team's top walk/strikeout ratios (20 to 24).
The Blue Hose finished the 2013 season with 24 wins, which was tied for most wins in Division I. PC posted 24 wins in 2011 and 2012 as well.
