High School: Fontenot played volleyball for James Bowie High School and helped track to a district championship as a sophomore before playing varsity soccer in 2010... Guided the team to a third-place state finish in 2011 and an undefeated district record... Earned Rookie of the Year honors for the 5-A District in 2011 and nabbed First Team All-District and First Team All-Academic laurels in 2011... Also helped the Austin United Capitals club team to a state championship and a trip to regionals in Louisiana.
Personal: Sydney Marie Fontenot was born on September 15, 1994, in Austin, Texas... Daughter of Laura Peveto and Dennis Fontenot... Plans to major in pre-physical therapy. |

Baseball C/1B Brad Zebedis and softball C/2B Erin Taylor were named Presbyterian College's Male and Female Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments the week ending April 29.
