2014-15: Played and started in 31  games ... Earned All-Conference honors (HM) ... With three three-pointers against High Point, he moved to first in PC’s Division I career record book for most three-pointers ... He finished with 214 ... With 18 points against Coastal Carolina Feb. 26, he became just the second player in PC’s Division I history to eclipse the 1,500 career-point mark, and finished with 1,532 in just his three years as a Blue Hose ... Was just three field goal attempts (109) from eclipsing the  career mark, finished second ... Finished second in career field goals made with 556 ... Ended his career tops in PC’s career scoring average ... Paced the team in scoring and three-point scoring ... High School: Averaged 18.1 points, five rebounds and three assists as a senior for coach Eric Davis at Hopewell High School ... Named All-I-Meck 4A Conference three times, All-Mecklenburg County and all-region twice ... Also named to 2009-10 All-Charlotte Observer team and to the North Carolina All-Star Team ... Averaged 13 points, five rebounds and 1.5 steals as a junior ... Led Hopewell to a 52-4 record and two conference championships in the last two years ... Downing owns the school career scoring record, and his teams won 96 games during his career.
