Todd Varn has returned to Presbyterian College to serve as Offensive Coordinator.

Varn previously served the Blue Hose in the same capacity during the 2005 and 2006 seasons.  Most recently, the 1992 N.C. State graduate was the Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for Newberry. 

Varn has been with the Wolves since 2007.  He was also the running backs coach and linebackers coach there for the 1995 season.  This past season, the Wolves were ranked 24th in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 35 points per game.  The team finished second in the South Atlantic Conference in 2009 in total offense.

He was offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and running backs coach at Charleston Southern from 1999 to 2001, and while there saw his team average 345 yards a game and set the record for most wins in a season in 1999 and 2000.

From 2002-2005 Varn was at Western Carolina University, serving as running backs coach from 02-03 and Offensive Coordinator from 03-05.  In 2003 the Catamounts led the Southern Conference in total offense with 226 yards per game.

In 1997-98, Varn served as assistant coach at Virginia Military Institute, coaching the Keydets' defensive backs in 1997 and linebackers and special teams coach in 1998.

Varn was a four-year letterman at running back for the Wolfpack from 1986-89.

He is married to the former Kris Herlong. They are the parents of twin boys, Kody and Jarrett, and a daughter Mary Jo.
