ROCK HILL, S.C. - Presbyterian College freshman Micah Dowling and sophomore Kasay Holbrook tied for tenth at the Winthrop University Intercollegiate on Monday afternoon. The duo had identical two-round scores of 162 to lead the Blue Hose women's golf team to a sixth place showing (656; 334, 322) on the tournament's first day.
Dowling had rounds of 84 and 78, while Holbrook shot a 79 and 83 during her first two rounds.
Senior Kristen Cometto tied for 25th with a first day score of 165 (83, 82). Freshman Kim Carpenter finished two strokes back at 167 (88, 79) and tied for 30th while leading all golfers with a total of four birdies on the day. Junior Amanda Hamlett tied for 52nd with a two-round tally of 178 (91, 87).
Princeton's Anna Jang is in the lead for individual honors at 153 (74, 79) while Belmont Abbey leads the teams at 632 (312, 320).
