Zachery James enters his 2nd year as an assistant athletic trainer at Presbyterian College. Zach acts as the primary athletic trainer for the men’s basketball, men’s cross country, and women’s golf teams.
Prior to coming to PC in August 2017, Zach completed three years as a resident athletic trainer at The Citadel.
While working with the Bulldogs he was the primary athletic trainer for the men’s basketball program, while assisting with other sports such as, football, cross county, track & field, and the Corps Cadets.
Zach received a Bachelor of Science in athletic training degree from the University of South Carolina in 2014. While a student athletic trainer at South Carolina, Zach gained clinical experience working with USC football, women’s soccer, and campus recreation sports, as well as, off campus rotations with Benedict College football, and both Brookland-Cayce and Heathwood-Hall Episcopal High Schools.
Zach completed his Master of Science degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion with a concentration in Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania in 2018.
Zach earned his national certification as an athletic trainer in 2014, is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the South Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association. Zach is a NASM Performance Enhancing Specialist and is NASE Speed Specialist Certified.
