CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College women's tennis team will host UNC Asheville on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. on the team's Senior Day, where the Blue Hose will honor senior Lindsay Krause (Roswell, Ga.).
The Blue Hose dropped both last of their matches last week, falling to Campbell, 5-2, and Coastal Carolina, 6-1. Greer Ransom (Athens, Ga.), Courtney Gardiner (Powder Springs, Ga.) and Caroline deLoach (Columbia, S.C.) each picked up a singles victory on the week. deLoach's win marked her team-leading 10th of the season as she becomes the first Blue Hose to break the 10-win plateau. She also leads the squad in Big South Conference victories, with three, and doubles wins, with nine.
The Blue Hose (7-14, 0-8 Big South) look to snap their Big South skid with a win over UNC Asheville (10-9, 3-5 Big South). The Bulldogs fell to Winthrop 7-0 on Sunday after a 5-2 home win against Coastal Carolina on Saturday. Ericka Rivero leads the team with 13 wins, primarily at the third flight. The Bulldogs boast a .620 winning percentage (31-19) in doubles matches and an 11-7 marker in Big South action.
PC will end its regular-season at Longwood on Saturday at 1 p.m.
